07 Settings & on-board aids
Everything below lives on the Settings page from the main menu. Adjust it there before playing, or press Start Experiment to keep the same controls docked beside the board and change them live, mid-match.
The table's physics
- Bounciness — the amount of energy a collision preserves. Lower values produce a softer, more subdued bounce; higher values approach a perfectly elastic collision.
- Static Friction — how abruptly a slowing piece comes to rest. Higher values bring pieces to a stop more suddenly, with less gradual settling.
- Kinetic Friction — the rate at which a moving piece decelerates. Higher values shorten travel distance and make the surface feel slower overall.
- Coin Mass and Striker Mass — the weight of the coins and striker, which determines how forcefully they transfer momentum on contact.
- Gravity — the overall downward pull applied to the table. The control also displays the real-world body its current value most closely resembles, ranging from the Moon to Jupiter.
Sound & look
- Music and Sound Effects volume, each with its own mute.
- Board style — switch between the Standard (match-proportioned) and Classic boards; the change is felt immediately.
Practice aids
- Show Complete Path — draws the recommended shot's full route as a guide line.
- Show Complete Graph — draws every clear shot lane and coin-to-coin link on the board, not just the recommended one.
